Sharing your group photos with the world, instantly

Today, we’re happy to announce the Meetup photo stream. It sends out notifications for photos uploaded to public groups, the moment they’re available.

The CRAZY thing is, there’s a long-polling “comet” stream that anybody can just hit from their site, jsonp-style. It’s all in Unfiltered and Netty; maybe we should pull some of our streaming code into the open-sourced library, or maybe it’s not generalizable enough.

Anyway! We worked really hard to make it efficient so go ahead and link to the demo from your twitters, it won’t fall down.
